Light painting happens to be one of the most elegant techniques in long expsoure photography. Stefano Bellamoli traveled to the marble mines of Verona, Italy, where he used fluorescent (top) and tungsten lights to create dazzling effects.

// I am from Oregon; a few hours from Cape Perpetua where that image was taken. It is called Thor’s Well (here have a video) and both it and the Devil’s Churn (and another) are !$&@ terrifying. People are sucked into them every year and they die. Yes, they are really cool, but damn it they are scary and dangerous. Thor’s Well can be hard to see at high tide and were it not for the plethora of signs so many more would die in it.
The Oregon Coast is beautifully dangerous.
